The PPM is a blend between a Lagrangian Gaussian puff model and a stochastic Lagrangian particle model. It focuses on short-range dispersion, and treats concentration fluctuations with special care. Its applicability ranges from environmental impact assessment studies to detailed analysis of short-term concentration fluctuations of accidental hazardous releases.
